1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION:

For 3-Years Diploma courses in Engineering and Technology, a candidate must fulfill the following conditions: -

1. Must register in www.dte.assam.gov.in for admission into 3-Years Diploma Courses' offered by SCTE, Assam as notified by the DTE, Assam.
2. The candidate must pass the H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subject in a single sitting (without grace marks in Science and Mathematics) and also have to pass individually in both theory and practical/ Internal Assessment withminimum -
   1. 40% marks on Average in Mathematics and Science for General/OBC-MOBC candidates.
   2. 35% marks on Average in Mathematics and Science for SC candidates.
   3. 33% marks on Average in Mathematics and Science for ST Candidates.
3. No compartmental candidate will be allowed to take admission.

NOTE : The eligibility criteria for admission will remain as above.

The formula for Rank Generation if there is tie will be as follows:-

1. Marks of Mathematics.
2. If tie in Mathematics then Marks of Science.
3. If tie in Mathematics and Science then in Marks of English.
4. If tie in Mathematics , Science and English then Total Marks obtained in H.S.L.C or equivalent.
5. If tie in point then candidate with higher age will be considered based on his/her date of birth.
6. If tie again in point then Alphabetical order of First Name will be considered.
7. If still tie exists then decision of counseling committee will be final.

2. AGE:

Maximum Age Limit For all Engineering & Technical courses :

1. UR/OBC/MOBC 20 years 6 months as on 31-12-2025.
2. SC/ST 23 years 6 months as on 31-12-2025.
3. PH/PwD 25 years 6 months as on 31-12-2025.

3. PHYSICAL FITNESS:

A candidate must be physically and mentally fit. A candidate will have to produce fitness Certificate at the time of admission from a registered medical practitioner as per enclosed format.

4. RESIDENTIAL ELIGIBILITY:

Candidates must be an Indian Citizen and a Permanent resident of Assam. Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) must be produced at the time of Counseling. He/ she may be allowed to take provisional admission on production of PRC Application Receipt and submission of undertaking regarding submission of final PRC within 60 days. If the candidate fails to submit the PRC within stipulated time, his/her seat will be cancelled.

5. ELIGIBILITY FOR SPORTS QUOTA:

• The candidate must be a medal winner of State Games/ State Championships/ Tournaments organized by Assam Olympic Association/ State Sports Association/Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare, Assam and will be decided in order of Medals of Gold/Silver/Bronze received.
• The medals received by the candidates must be within the period of last 3 years.

6. ELIGIBILITY FOR NCC QUOTA:

• Selection of candidates for NCC category would be considered in order of merit as per NCC Examination Certificate received from the Commanding Officer, National Cadets Corps or higher level to be treated as given below-

NOTE : Candidates are asked to submit the documents of the NCC camp attendance. In case of tie in NCC certificate and grade, the camp attendance will be considered for deciding rank.

Candidates selected in Counseling and allotted seats must attend classes from the date of announcement of classes. Please refer to the Counseling Guidelines as and when published.

Reservation of seats in the Polytechnics of Assam is made for the following categories of candidates. If any candidate fails to specify his/her category at the time of online form fill up, he/she will be considered as unreserved category.
